1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites store on the user's device (computer, tablet or smartphone) to be sent back to the same websites on subsequent visits. Similar technologies (pixels, local storage, session storage) are treated as cookies for the purposes of this policy.
This Cookie Policy forms an integral part of the Privacy Policy of TYC Hotel.
2. Categories of cookies used
Strictly necessary and functional cookies
Essential to the operation of the Site and to the services we offer. Under Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and paragraph 4.2 of the Italian Data Protection Authority guidelines of 10 June 2021, cookies "strictly necessary to provide a service expressly requested by the user" — including those for customer-service chat — do not require prior consent.

Note on the assistance chat: the Otello widget is embedded on the Site as the hotel's customer-service tool, just like the contact form or the WhatsApp widget. For this reason it is classified as a functional technical cookie and does not require consent. Users remain free not to use it.
Marketing cookies
The Site does not currently use active marketing or profiling cookies. The category remains available in the preferences panel for future activations (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta Pixel), which will be notified through an update of this policy.
3. Third-party services and cookies
While browsing and using the Site's services the following external providers may be involved, each with its own privacy policy:
- Otello(hotel customer-service chat) – script loaded from
storage.googleapis.com/otello-widget-prod. Classified as a functional technical cookie (customer service requested by the user). - Passepartout(booking engine) – used when the user starts a reservation. Policy available at passepartout.net.
- WhatsApp(Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) – chat contact via the dedicated widget. Policy at whatsapp.com.
- Google Fonts– the Site uses the Next.js built-in font self-hosting, so no request is made to Google servers at rendering time.
4. How to manage consent
On your first visit a banner is shown allowing you to accept all cookies, reject them all or customise your choice by category. Your preference is stored for 12 months.
